Surgery/ICU Department

St. Bernard Parish Hospital’s Surgical Services Department consists of 4 operating room suites, 8 prep unit rooms, 8 recovery room beds and 2 endoscopy suites. All contain high-tech equipment and monitors that are operated by a highly-skilled surgical team that specializes in both in-patient and ambulatory surgeries and procedures.

The hospital’s 8-bed ICU caters to patients 18 and older with any potentially life-threatening condition or when the need for constant monitoring presents itself. The ICU features specialty nursing using high-tech hemodynamic monitoring equipment. The ICU provides patient care and monitoring 24/7.
